Saving the Class Roster

Go to www.mdc.edu then select the "employee" link from the top center of the page

NOTE:  When accessing the "Employee" site from home, you will receive a login screen that requires the following:

username:  mdcc\yourusername

password:  your network password

In addition, if you have a popup blocker enabled, hold down your "Ctrl" key when clicking on "employees".

From the employee portal page hover over "faculty resources" which is the third item from the bottom of the blue menu bar on the left.  When the next menu comes up, go straight across to "academic resources" then click.
A screen with the list of all the courses you have access to will open.  Locate the course for which you want the roster then click the icon with the three people next to the course information.
The roster for that course will open.  Scroll all the way to the bottom of the course list then click the bottom left button which says "save to file."
Click the "save" button from the file download screen.

Save the file to a local or network drive - This would be your C: drive at home.  At the College it is recommended to save all work to your H: drive.  In the file name text box type the name you want to give the file then click save in the bottom right corner.

Remember it is important to know where you save the file and what you name it.

To open the class roster, click "Start", "College-wide applications" then select "Microsoft Office Excel".  When you get to Excel, click "file" then select "open."  From open dialog box, click the blue down-pointing arrow in the bottom center then from the drop-down list, pick "all files." You will then see all the available files in the open file window.  Pick the roster that you just saved from the list then click the "open" button in the bottom right corner.

After the file is open, click "file" from the top left of the menu bar then select "print" from the menu to get a hard copy of the roster.
