    EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every student has the potential to make a difference in society. As the Instructional Assistant of The Law Center, my job is to help facilitate a positive learning experience. I also believe in helping students discover what it is they want to get out of their degree.

    CURRENT PROJECTS

Bridges Across Borders (http://www.bridgesacrossborders.org/)
Bridges Across Borders is an international collaboration of time-tested activists, artists, students, educators, and others who cherish cultural diversity and global peace. We formed this collaboration of groups and individuals to address the root causes of violence and hatred in the world, to examine the attitudes that cause us to view each other as enemies, and to seek understanding that allows us to appreciate each other as friends.

Wolfson Campus Chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) National Paralegal Honor Society
Lambda Epsilon Chi (known as LEX) is a national honor society for paralegal studies students. There are approximately 95 Chapters throughout the United States with well over 1,000 inductees who have been honored for their outstanding academic achievements. Each year LEX chapters select those students who meet high academic criteria and cite them for their accomplishments by inducting them into Lambda Epsilon Chi.

Society of Law and Community Service (MDC-SLCS)
The mission of the Society of Law and Community Service (SLCS) is to provide a forum for all MDC: Wolfson Campus students who may be interested in pursuing a career in any legal/law related field, to facilitate a more conducive learning environment, to provide exposure to established individuals and/or firms in the public and private sector, and to increase awareness about to need for community awareness/involvement through service learning.
Contact President Jessica Giraldo or visit the SLCS's Facebook page for more information.

    INTERESTS

I enjoy the beach, tanning, spending time with friends, and of course, the lost art of sleeping.

I love New York City! I've been in love with NYC since my first visit in May 2005. I wish I could be there now, but unfortunately I can only be there in spirit.
