Mr. Hortensi, Professor of Accounting, started teaching at Miami Dade College in 2002. He holds a Master in Accounting from Florida International University and a Bachelors in Accounting & International Business from Florida International University.  He is a certified public accountant and he is a member of the FICPA ( Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants). His work experience outside the college includes public, private and governmental accounting.
