Course Syllabus

This course is designed to maximize your interaction with educational technology.  You will be assigned articles to read for each class.  This frees up class time for enhanced student-teacher interactions. You are expected to "react" or "reflect" on each article or set of articles assigned.  A reflection paper consists of twenty-five word processed lines, one inch ("1") side margins (no larger than a 12 point font size) and submitted in Microsoft Word document format (Please do not use Microsoft Works). You will also take all of your tests and quizzes on-line.  As such you will be required to do or observe the following:

  • Assignments are due on the dates specified in WEBCT Assignment Box. Assignments must be up-loaded to WEBCT and student must provide evidence of completed assignment by having a jump drive to present on demand. Reflection papers must be 25 lines typed, with one inch margins on the sides and a font (Arial or Times New Roman) size no larger that 12 point font. Any reflection paper less than 25 lines will be penalized 3 points.
  • Any assignment that does not meet specified performance criteria such as failing to put a picture on a reflection paper will be penalized 3 points. Make sure you understand what is being asked of you. Late assignments will be penalized 3 points. I do accept work late but it will result in the loss of points.
  • Please use Microsoft Word (Do not use Microsoft Works!)
  • All assigned student work will be saved into a Livetext digital portfolio and submitted as the final exam at the end of the term. Livetext will be required of all Education students.
