EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe that my most challenging task as your instructor is to select and design activities, assignments, and opportunities that will really help you to learn something about speech communication.

My classes are not going to be your usual speech classes.  As you will see, my classes are a blend of laughter, hard work, interesting discussions and out of the classroom activities.

I personally promise you that if you work hard, seek help, come to class, and follow the guidelines, you can do well in my classes.

CURRENT PROJECTS AND EVENTS

The Festival of The Communication Posters Event:  Spring Term March 22-26, 2004

Several professors and I have assigned our students (from Spc. 1026 classes) to present poster exhibits to the general public in the lobby area of our Speech Offices located on the second floor of Building M.

Everyone is Invited!  Our Festival theme is:

"It's A Jungle Out There: Survive With Effective
Speech Communication
"

Visitors are reminded to pick up their "
Official Festival Passports" as they enter the display area. Your stamped passports may be used for extra-credit points (check to see if your professor in a Festival supporter!)

Feel free to walk around and talk with individual students exhibitors and get your passport stamped with the special festival stamp.
