EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

I believe teaching is a special job.  It is not just teaching students a great deal of information about mathematics, but it is getting students engaged and motivated in mathematics so that when they leave my class they will continue to explore the relationship between mathematics and the world they live in.  Students should not only have math explained to them, but they should "feel it", "see it", "touch it" and know the "how" and "why" not just some abstract theory.  I believe learning is our ongoing quest for knowledge, keeping us vibrant and renewed and results in the successes of our students.

INTERESTS

I enjoy traveling, photography and riding bike.
