EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY |
|
The instructor is a guide, he can show you the way, but you
must walk the path yourself. No one can do that for you.

CURRENT PROJECTS |
|
Collaborations with Mathematicians
I work with professional mathematicians around the
world exploring the possibility of visual representations of
their research. From these collaborations, I find
inspiration and make new art. These projects lead to a
deeper understanding of the creative process, which is at the
core of both disciplines. |
|
|
|
INTERESTS |
|
I am a professional visual artist and my artwork is strongly
mathematically-inspired.
As an artist, I make drawings, paintings, and sculpture.
My sculptures are made of stainless steel and aluminum (not
together!). I am an excellent welder.
I have spent years living and traveling in China and it is
deeply a part of my life experience. If you ever have the
opportunity to live abroad, do it--it is an eye-opening
experience and will change the way you look at the world. |
