EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Education
is more than just than just textbooks and pencils. It is the foundation
where students learn to become responsible adults. Students should be
taught to be good thinkers as well as good problems solvers. Cognitive
skills can be used in many ways throughout their lives. I find that
students who become actively involved in researching for answers acquire
higher levels of thinking as opposed to students who are used to having the
teacher dictate to them.

INTERESTS

Some of my hobbies include:
fishing, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, camping, writing, reading, and
gardening. Basically, the outdoors! Traveling and experiencing new
cultures and meeting people runs through my veins. My travel experience
ranges from the Amazon in South America to the country and safari's in
Africa. However, my favorite past time is tea time with my five-year old
daughter and playing with my four-month baby boy!
