My Background and Interests
Professor D'Ottone has been teaching Chemistry at Miami Dade College (MDC) since 1998: his background include a Chemistry degree from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (Laurea in Chimica Vecchio Ordinamento) with an experimental thesis on the kinetics of oxidation of Fe(II) with Cr(VI) developed at the Water Research Institute of the (Italian) National Research Council (IRSA-CNR); a Master of Arts (MA) with major in Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry, from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (RSMAS), and a Ph.D. in Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education with specialization in Chemistry Education from the Institute of Science and Technology Education (ISTE) of the University of South Africa (UNISA) with an experimental thesis entitled "Experimental explorations of the pseudo-first order approximation" developed at Miami Dade College with the approval of the College Institutional Research Board (IRB).
