My Background and Interests
Victor Calderin is an Associate Professor of English at Miami Dade College - Hialeah Campus, where he has taught for over fifteen years. After growing up in Hialeah, FL, his love of literature led him to finish a Bachelor’s and a Master’s at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, he serves as one of the faculty advisors for Cafe Cultura, MDC Hialeah’s award-winning literary and art magazine. He considers working with the creative students at his campus to be the hallmark of his career. His other academic interests are 20th century short fiction and poetry, ludology, and collaborative narrative through play.
