2003-2004 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships

Applications Available

 

January 20, 2002 – Applications for the Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships, 2003-2004, are now available from Rotary International District 6990.  These scholarships provide for study abroad in more than 160 countries where Rotary Clubs are located.  They are designed to further international understanding and goodwill.

 

While studying abroad, Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholars act as Ambassadors of Goodwill and work towards furthering international understanding, The scholars represent their homeland by appearing before Rotary Clubs and Districts, schools, civic organizations and other forums in the country of their study institution.

 

The Ambassadorial Scholarships awarded by District 6990 (Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward County & Grand Bahama Island) are for one academic year abroad and provide funding for roundtrip transportation, tuition and fees, room, board, some educational supplies and, if necessary, additional language training, up to a maximum award of $25,000.00 or its equivalent.

 

The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships program is the world’s largest privately sponsored international scholarship program.  Focused on humanitarian service, personal diplomacy and academic excellence, the program has sponsored more than 30,000 Rotary Scholars abroad since it began in 1947.
