1. Using loose-leaf paper and a blue or black ink pen, choose one of the two topics listed. 

2. First, take a few minutes to brainstorm and outline. 

3. Then, begin writing your 4 paragraph essay.

4. Leave yourself a few minutes to proofread and edit before submitting your essay. (REFER TO COMPETENCY SHEET FOR SKILLS)

5. Because you will only have 60 minutes, you must use your time well.
