Music Presentations  (Compare and/or Contrast)

  1. Choose your group partner (no more than 3 in a group). 
  2. Choose who will present, collect and prepare the presentation.
  3. Exchange phone numbers, email and fax numbers.
  4. Decide on the specifics of the topic with your group members.  Compare and/or contrast 2 types of music
  5. Collect and present background information on artists and music.
  6. Provide specific examples in your presentation.

  7. Clarify and present the similarities and/or difference carefully.

  8. Plan your presentation carefully.

  9. Use active verbs.

  10. Be very creative.

  11. Read the Rubric and use it to prepare for your presentation.

  12. Presentation should be no more than 5 minutes. 

  13. If you are NOT familiar with Power Point, go to the Computer Courtyard and practice using the program before you begin your assignment. 

  14. EMBED VIDEOS IN POWER POINT

  15. Involve the audience by designing an interactive presentation.  Provide videos and music samples to the class.

  16. Allow your creativity to flourish.

  17. Organize your presentation carefully and if possible practice in front of a small audience.
