Preparing for the presentation

  1. You will work alone on this presentation.

  2. Choose one short poem. 

  3. Gather information about the poet.  (Remember to credit your sources) Create a Work Cited Slide

The presentation

  1. You will present "alone."

  2. Read the Rubric and use it to prepare your presentation.

  3. Presentation should be no more than 5 minutes. 

  4. Provide background information on the poet, analyze the poem, and provide images (photos or videos) as well as sounds.

  5. Involve the audience by designing an interactive presentation. 

  6. Allow your creativity to flourish.

  7. Organize your presentation carefully and if possible practice in front of a small audience.

  1. To provide a slide show that includes background information on the poet.

  2. To present a clear and organized analysis of a poem using Power Point. 

  3. To design an interactive or creative presentation that captures the viewers attention. 

  4. To deliver the presentation in a professional and effective manner.
