Process
Prepare the Final Version of your Essay
Have your teacher or a friend read the rough draft. Listen to their advice, make changes, and edit it for mistakes. Your final essay should be double-spaced. Use the format that your teacher has asked you to use. Some professors ask their students to begin with a cover page, and others prefer that you put a heading in the top right corner. Some professors want titles and some don't. If your professor didn't specify what he or she wanted, use a cover page following the example below. Then, on the first page of your essay, center the title at the top, skip two or three lines and begin writing. Staple your essay together in the top left corner.
